Dance games and movement-in-nature activities fill your child's late summer mornings, accompanied by live music (piano and drums) and taught by award-winning dance educator Arwyn Carpenter. Come for 1 week or 2. Week 1 is 4 days, Wednesday to Saturday. Week 2 is Monday-Friday. Covid safety protocol will be practiced.
Directional Honouring in Movement
Children, adults and families are invited to explore teachings from the land, through movement-based improvisation in this 1 hour workshop

Listen, gather, explore the reciprocity of the circle and cycles within our stories, memories from the earth and the imprints within our own bodies. This workshop invites families and individuals to move and reflect as they embody understandings through origin teachings of Turtle Island. Workshop leader is Sophie Dow, an accomplished multidisciplinary artist who shares wisdom inspired by Métis-Assiniboine lineage through contemporary dance.

Movers of all ages and ranges will experience beautiful spherical movements designed to open heart and wings, taught by the charming pond
About this event
Dance artist/writer CA has pursued a long career as a performer, choreographer, writer and educator. Now an Emerita of the dance faculty at York University, she continues to move, make, teach and write. A licensed GYROKINESIS® and Pilates matwork instructor, she promotes mindfulness in motion. She's been summering at her County place since 1995.
